Belinda Snell Girls Basketball Academy

In a week of celebrating women in basketball, Mornington Basketball is absolutely delighted to announce the launch of the “Belinda Snell Girls Basketball Academy”.

Belinda Snell is a recently retired Australian Basketball Champion, having won 3 consecutive Olympic medals and was a key contributor to the Australian Opals, becoming one of Australia’s most successful international teams. Over her 15-year career, Snell has amassed three premierships and four All-Star Five appearances. She still holds records for the most points in a WNBL game (54), as well as the most three-pointers made in a game and overall.

The Belinda Snell, Girls Basketball Academy is a skill advancement program for young women, to enhance and improve their game in a focussed environment, that both challenges and supports young athletes. The program will develop not only skills but teamwork, leadership and confidence.

Want to know more? You are invited to attend an Open Night with Belinda on Tuesday 28th May 2019 at 6.30pm at Benton’s Junior College Gymnasium, 261 Racecourse Road, Mornington.

Following the Open Night you will be able to register online for her initial 4 week program commencing on Tuesday 4th June.

The Academy is focussed on both domestic and representative girls from 10 years to 18 years. Players from all Associations are welcome to register and attend.
